Bakalářská práce je věnována tématu velmi diskutovanému po celém světě, obezitě. Na obezitu je v práci nahlíženo z několika perspektiv, a to z pohledu biochemie, genetiky, antropologie a z lékařského hlediska. V práci je vystihnuta závažnost a komplikace multisystémového onemocnění, kterým obezita je.
