Aromatic hydrocarbons and their derivatives - synthesis suitable for laboratory exercises in the bachelor's level

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je nalézt, prověřit a vyhodnotit možnosti použití pracovních návodů k syntézám jednoduchých aromatických sloučenin v laboratorních cvičeních z organické chemie v rámci bakalářského oboru Chemie. Práce je členěna na teoretickou část, která popisuje principy a teoretické základy jednotlivých reakcí, experimentální část, která komentuje vlastní průběh příprav, a diskuzi se závěrečným zhodnocením. Jednotlivé návody byly získány internetovou rešerší. Rozbor jejich použitelnosti ve výuce sestával z posouzení celkové náročnosti práce, shrnutí toxikologických rizik, výpočtu finančního rozpočtu a analýzy experimentálních dat, získaných praktickým odzkoušením jednotlivých návodů k přípravám. Z celkového počtu jedenácti prověřovaných návodů k přípravám bylo devět doporučeno k zařazení do výuky, dva byly vyhodnoceny jako nevyhovující.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find, test and evaluate the possibilities of application of the lab manuals for the synthesis of simple aromatic compounds in the laboratory exercises of organic chemistry in the bachelor?s subject Chemistry. Thesis is divided into the theoretical part describing the principles and theoretical basis of the particular reactions, the experimental part dealing with the course of the synthesis and discussion including the final assessment. The manuals were obtained by the Internet research. The analysis of their utilizing in the classes was comprised of evaluating the overall difficulty, the summary of toxicological threats, drawing up a budget and the analysis of experimental data obtained by practical testing of the manuals. Total number of tested manuals was eleven, nine of them were finally recommended to be used in the laboratory exercises. Two of them were found unsuitable for application in the classes.
