Indicative diagnostics of phonemic differentiation of pupils in the first grade of primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá fonematickou diferenciací u žáků na 1. stupni základních škol. Při nástupu do základní školy se mohou nedostatky ve fonematické diferenciaci negativně projevit nejen v mluveném projevu dítěte, ale také v průběhu osvojování čtení a psaní. Práce se pokouší o shrnutí nejdůležitějších poznatků vztahující se k dané problematice v rámci prvních třech kapitol teoretické části. První z nich pojednává o komunikačních kompetencích žáků na 1. stupni základních škol, o vztahu a osvojování mluvené a psané podoby řeči a také nejčastějších rizikových faktorech školní neúspěšnosti. Druhá kapitola je věnována mluvené podobě řeči a fonematické diferenciaci jako jedné z podmínek jejího osvojování. Pro doplnění jsou zde popsány očekávané projevy komunikačních schopností u žáků na počátku školní docházky. Kapitola třetí se zaměřuje na pedagogickou a speciálně pedagogickou diagnostiku a jejich význam v průběhu primárního vzdělávání. Praktická část diplomové práce vychází z kvantitativního výzkumného šetření. Pomocí výzkumné metody orientačního diagnostického zkoušení probíhalo orientační posouzení úrovně vybraných dílčích způsobilostí v oblasti receptivní složky řeči u žáků na 1. stupni základních škol. Výzkum je zaměřen na tři dílčí způsobilosti týkající se sluchového vnímání, a to auditivní paměť, auditivní pozornost (diferenciace figury a pozadí) a auditivní diferenciace (fonematická diferenciace).

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with phonemic differentiation in pupils of lower elementary schools. Insufficiency in phonemic differentiation upon enrolling in elementary school can have a negative effect not only on child?s speech, but also on the process of learning to read and write. In the first three chapters of the theoretical part the thesis attempts to summarize the most important findings relative to the given topic. The first chapter deals with communicative competency of pupils of lower elementary schools, with acquisition of both written and spoken aspects of speech and the relation between them, and with the most frequent risk factors that lead to child?s failure at school. Second chapter is dedicated to spoken aspect of speech and to phonemic differentiation as one of the prerequisites in acquisition of speech. Expected features of communicative capabilities in pupils at the start of primary education are given here for clarification. The third chapter focuses on pedagogical and special pedagogical diagnostics and its significance in primary education and describes the scope of usage of indicative special pedagogical examination. Practical part of the thesis is based on quantitative research. Indicative evaluation of level of particular capabilities in the field of receptive aspect of speech of pupils of lower elementary schools was carried out using the scientific method of indicative diagnostic examination. Research focuses on three particular capabilities related to auditory perception; auditory memory, auditory attention (differentiation of the figure and the background) and auditory differentiation (phonemic differentiation).
