Analysis of the social enterprise influenced by the Covid-19 crisis with a focus on monitoring social impact

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá sociálním podnikání, jeho situací v českém prostředí, problematikou sledování společenského dopadu a analýzou specifického sociálního podniku zkoumaného také z pohledu vlivu pandemie Covid-19. Cílem bylo zhodnotit činnosti podniku Jídelny Kuchařek bez domova a navrhnout doporučení pro zlepšení a metody pro sledování dopadu. Teoretická část poskytuje základ pro následnou analýzu podniku. Výzkum se opírá jednak o primární, tak sekundární data. Sběr primárních dat proběhl na základě rozhovorů s vedením podniku, odbornicí na sociální podnikání a formou dotazníkového šetření u zaměstnanců. Data byla následně vyhodnocena pomocí nástroje Social Lean Canvas, konceptu Teorie změny a metod strategické analýzy. Z výsledků vyplynula nedostatečná finanční evidence a sledování dopadu, stejně tak neziskovost podniku. Všechny představené návrhy ke zlepšení a sledování dopadu manažerka zhodnotila jako realizovatelné.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of social entrepreneurship, its situation in the czech environment, problematic monitoring of social impact and analysis of the specific social enterprise also from the covid-19 perspective. The aim was to evaluate the activity of the enterprise "Jídelna Kuchařek bez domova" and propose suggestions for improvement and suitable methods for monitoring social impact. The theoretical part provides a knowledge basis for the following analysis. The research is based on primary and secondary data as well. The primary research was conducted by semi-structured interviews with management of the enterprise, specialist on social entrepreneurship and by a questionnaire survey of employees. Data were evaluated by using different tools such as Social Lean Canvas, Theory of change and methods of strategical analysis. As emerged from the results, the enterprise is unprofitable and current financial evidence and impact monitoring is not sufficient. All suggested proposals for improvement and impact monitoring were reviewed as feasible by management.
