Collection of Newspaper Articles on Science Written for MF DNES Brno

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je souborem 15 zpravodajských textů zabývajících se vědeckou tematikou v Jihomoravském kraji. Texty tvoří praktickou část práce a jsou dílem autorky bakalářské práce. Soubor textů byl publikován v brněnské příloze deníku Mladá fronta DNES (MF DNES) v období autorčiny žurnalistické praxe od 22. června do 11. září roku 2015. Každý z žurnalistických textů autorka následně kriticky reflektuje. Teoretická část práce podává stručný přehled týkající se problematiky popularizace vědy. Dále vymezuje žurnalistický žánr zpráva v českém i zahraničním kontextu. Součástí jsou i žurnalistická specifika psaní o vědě. Práce má tvůrčí charakter. Cílem je aplikace žurnalistických teorií do praxe v souvislosti s vědeckou tematikou v Jihomoravském kraji. Výsledkem je soubor autorských žurnalistických textů na odborné téma. Díky aplikaci teorie do praxe a využití výzkumných rozhovorů s členy brněnské redakce MF DNES je rovněž cílem vytvoření pravidel pro psaní zpráv na téma vědecké problematiky.

Abstract:

The present thesis is a collection of 15 newspaper articles on science in the South Moravian Region. The texts are written by the author of the thesis and comprise the practical part of the thesis. The collection of texts was published in the “South Moravia” supplement to Mladá fronta DNES journal (MF DNES) during the author’s hands-on journalistic training from 22 June to 11 September 2015. The author then critically reflects on each one of these newspaper articles. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a brief overview of the issue of promoting science. It further defines the journalistic genre of a news report, both in the context of the Czech Republic and abroad. The theoretical part also includes the specifics of production of journalistic pieces on science. The thesis is creative in its nature, and its goal is to apply journalistic theories in practice in relation to science in the South Moravian Region. The outcome of the thesis is a collection of the author’s newspaper articles on a specialised subject. Another goal of this thesis is to establish the rules for production of articles on science issues, which is achieved by applying theory to practice and interviewing the editorial staff of MF DNES in Brno.
