The contribution of the Alexandrian medicine for the ancient world
Abstract:
Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký přínos měla pro starověký svět alexandrijská medicína. Ve třetím století před naším letopočtem se z města Alexandrie stalo významné lékařské středisko. S alexandrijskou medicínou jsou spojeni lékaři, kteří se svými objevy a teoriemi zasloužili o rozvoj lékařství.
Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out what was the contribution of the Ale-xandrian medicine for the ancient world. In the third century BC, the city of Alexan-dria became an important medical center. Doctors who contributed to the develop-ment of medicine with their discoveries and theories are associated with Alexandri-an medicine.
