Modern managerial approaches in leadership and development of co-workers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá moderními manažerskými přístupy ve vedení spolupracovníků, které představují důležitou součást fungování kterékoliv organizace. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část a soustředí se zejména na rešerši a srovnání manažerských přístupů v teorii a praxi. V teoretické části se práce zabývá základními pojmy, jako je management, manažer a základní manažerské dovednosti, které jsou v praxi důležité právě ve vedení spolupracovníků. Dále práce zkoumá jednotlivé manažerské metody a techniky, jako jsou plánování, delegování, komunikace nebo motivace. V praktické části srovnává teorii s praxí formou dotazníkového šetření několika podřízených a rozhovorem s jejich nadřízeným - manažerem s dlouholetými zkušenostmi v rámci mezinárodní firmy. Z výsledku výzkumu plyne, že moderní metody a techniky managementu jsou ve vybrané firmě skutečně používány.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with modern management approaches in leadership of co-workers, which represent an important part in functioning on any organization. The thesis is divided into theoretical and applied part, and focuses mainly on research with comparison of management approaches in theory and practice. Theoretical section talks about basic terms, such as management, who is a manager and fundamental managerial skills, that are needed in practice. Furthermore, the paper examines individual modern management methods and techniques as planning, deputation, communication and motivation. Applied part compares theory with practice. This is done through questionnaire answers gained from some employees and an interview with their senior manager, who has many years of practice in terms of international business. The results of the research show, that individual methods and techniques of management are used in the selected company.
