The Role of the Internal Audit in a SME

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na interní audit ve společnosti Siemens, s.r.o. Cílem této práce je na základě literární rešerše realizovat interní audit pro ověření dílčích aktivit a vydání nápravných opatření. Praktický přínos pro zvolený podnik tak představuje stanovení doporučení. V bakalářské práci jsou vymezeny úlohy a funkce, které by měl zastávat interní audit, včetně jeho rolí, začlenění v podniku a vazby na controlling. V rámci stěžejní části práce jsou předloženy výsledky vlastního výzkumu a na jejich základě jsou ustanoveny jednotlivé závěry a doporučení pro daný podnik. Zjištěným výsledkem je, že společnost Siemens, s.r.o. disponuje až na dílčí odchylky v zájmové oblasti optimálním stavem, který odpovídá kladeným nárokům formou vnitropodnikových směrnic. Subjekt zajišťuje vysokou úroveň informačního zabezpečení pro odběratele. Oblasti pro zlepšení jsou dvě, a to rychlost zpracování vstupního požadavku zaměstnanci a obeznámenost s produkcí subjektu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on a internal audit at Siemens, s.r.o. The goal of this thesis is to perform an internal audit for verification of individual activities and determination of corrective actions, on the basis of literature research. The contribution to the selected business is the recommendation of actions needed to amend the discovered shortcomings. The thesis defines the tasks and functions which should be performed during an internal audit, including its roles, their incorporation in the company, and the links to controlling. The core part of the thesis presents the results of my own research, on the basis of which, was drawn the conclusions and recommendations for the given enterprise. The findings are that the investigated areas of Siemens, s.r.o., except for very few variations, are in an optimal condition, which corresponds to the high requirements in the form of internal directives. The entity provides a high level of information security for its subscribers. The main areas of improvement are two, namely the speed of processing input requirements, which is done manually by the employees and the familiarity with the production of the subject.
