Anotace:

Bakaláská práce Separate is not equal: The African American struggle against school segregation and unequal educational opportunities se zabývá aspektem vzdlávání v rámci boje afroamerického obyvatelstva proti rasové diskriminaci ve Spojených státech amerických. Poskytuje pehled boje za rovný pístup ke vzdlání od poloviny dvacátého století do poátku našeho století a zkoumá jeho mnící se formy, metody, výstupy a vliv na spolenost Spojených stát jako celek.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis Separate is not equal: The African American struggle against school segregation and unequal educational opportunities deals with the educational aspect of the African American struggle against racial discrimination in the United States of America. It provides an outline of the fight for equal access to education from the mid-twentieth century to the beginning of the 21st century and explores its changing forms, methods, outcomes and impact on the United States society as a whole.
