Comparison of production of a cogeneration unit using biogas and natural gas

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáváním dvou vybraných typů kogeneračních jednotek spalujících bioplyn nebo zemní plyn. V úvodní části se zabývá vysvětlením pojmu kogenerace a kogenerační jednotka. Jsou zde popsány vybrané typy pohonů pro kogenerační jednotku a jiné specifické pojmy. V další části jsou uvedeny technické a provozní parametry navštívených kogeneračních jednotek v Jihočeském a Plzeňském kraji. Jsou porovnávány výroby všech těchto jednotek za použití výpočtu maximální provozní doby a výpočtu spotřeby paliva. V neposlední řadě se zabývá posouzením vlivu kogeneračních jednotek na životní prostředí. V posledním bodě zjišťuje možnost nahrazení dosavadních zdrojů energie v městských zástavbách.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with comparing the two selected types of cogeneration units combusting biogas or natural gas. In the first part this thesis deals with explaining the concept of cogeneration and cogeneration unit. It also describes selected types of drives for the cogeneration unit and other specific terms. The following section includes the technical and operational parameters of visited cogeneration units in the Plzeňský and Jihočeský region. Later on, the thesis compares the production of these units using a calculation of the maximum operating time and calculating the fuel consumption. Last but not least, it evaluates the influence of cogeneration units on the environment. The final point determines the possibility of replacing the existing energy sources in bigger residential areas.
