Primárním cílem této práce je poskytnout čtenáři poměrně podrobný přehled o vnitřní organizaci a fungování jednotlivých státních orgánů Třetí říše. Sekundárním cílem autorova výzkumu bylo rovněž zodpovězení otázky, do jaké míry lze skutečnou činnost státního aparátu nacistického Německa považovat za legální.
