S rostoucí poptávkou po výrobě energie z OZE v posledních letech dochází k nárůstu investic do nových BPS. ČR se tak řadí v rámci EU na 5. místo v počtu BPS. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na tři hlavní části. V ČR převažují stanice zemědělského typu, a tak je první část zaměřena na obor zemědělství a jeho proměnu v čase. New investment in the area of biogas power plants are caused by increasing demand of renewable energy production. Czech Republic takes the fifth place in number of biogas power plants in EU.
