Determinants affecting amount of monthly payments to the supplementary pension savings

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá determinanty, které ovlivňují výši měsíční platby na doplňkové penzijní spoření. V současnosti je toto téma aktuální vzhledem k narůstajícímu problému financování důchodů státem, který se bude především s ohledem na stárnutí populace v ČR i nadále prohlubovat. Primárním cílem práce je na datech získaných dotazníkovým šetřením ověřit, jakým způsobem a v jakém rozsahu ovlivňují různé determinanty výši platby na doplňkové penzijní spoření. V teoretické části práce stanovuji za pomoci literární rešerše odborné publikace primární hypotézu. Na základě Modiglianiho teorie životního cyklu předpokládám, že počet účastníků doplňkového penzijního spoření a výše jednotlivých plateb budou s narůstajícím věkem pracovníků stoupat. V praktické části nejdříve data získaná dotazníkovým šetřením ověřuji za pomoci ekonometrického modelu logistické regrese a poté i vlastní analýzou dotazníku. Primární hypotézu byla potvrzena komparací obou použitých metod. S narůstajícím věkem respondentů stoupá jak počet účastníků doplňkového penzijního spoření, tak i výše jednotlivých plateb.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis follows up the determining factors influencing the amount of monthly payments on supplementary pension savings. Currently, this theme is up to date due to the growing problem of pension funding by the state, which will continue to deepen, mainly due to the aging population in the Czech Republic. The primary object of the thesis is to verify how and to what extent the different determinants of the amount of payments on supplementary pension savings affect. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I set up a primary hypothesis with the help of literary research. Based on Modigliani´s lifecycle theory, I assume that the number of the supplementary pension savings participants and the amount of individual payments will increase as the age of employees increases. First, in the practical part I verify the data obtained through the interview survey with the help of the econometric model of logistic regression and then also by own analysis of the survey. The primary hypothesis was confirmed by comparing these two methods. As the age of respondents grows, the number of supplementary pension savings and the level of individual payments increase.
