Developing motivation of volunteers during the performance of voluntary work in the Nonprofit Organization Ratolest Brno

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem motivace dobrovolníků během výkonu dobrovolné činnosti. Hlavním cílem práce je poukázat na faktory, které motivaci ovlivňují, a objasnit případný vývoj motivace dobrovolníků. Pro teoretické ukotvení tématu byly nejprve definovány základní pojmy, konkrétně dobrovolnictví, motivace, a občanské sdružení Ratolest Brno, včetně jejich vzájemných souvislostí. Pro realizaci výzkumu byl zvolen kvalitativní metodologický přístup v podobě polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s otevřenými otázkami. Výsledkem práce je definování faktorů ovlivňujících motivaci dobrovolníků v jednotlivých fázích, kterými procházejí během výkonu dobrovolné činnosti v programu SAP občanského sdružení Ratolest Brno, a nastínění vývoje motivace. Výsledky obsažené v této práci mohou přispět k pochopení motivace dobrovolníků, a tím pomoci zefektivnit práci s nimi a podpořit jejich dlouhodobější spolupráci s organizací.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of the motivation of volunteers during the volunteering. The main objective is to point out the factors which influence the motivation and to explain the potential motivational development of volunteers. To provide the theoretical background, the basic terms will be defined; namely volunteering, motivation, and Ratolest Brno. The connection between them will be observed as well. For the realization of the research the qualitative methodological approach in the form of semi-structured interview with open questions was selected. The result of the thesis is the definition of the factors that influence the motivation of the volunteers during various stages of the volunteering in the SAP Ratolest Brno NPO and to outline the development of motivation. The results of this study may contribute to the understanding of the motivation of volunteers, thus to make the work with them more effective and to support their long-term cooperation with the organization.
