Onemocnění hemoroidy se v současné době řadí mezi civilizační choroby, se stále se zvyšujícím výskytem.Protože jde o nemoc v intimní oblasti, je pro mnoho pacientů stále velkým tabu, je důležité, aby byli pacienti řádně edukování, měli dostatek vědomostí a věděli jak předcházet výskytu, zhoršení nebo komplikacím hemoroidů.
