Comparison between yonger and older generation in their views of partnership

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na porovnávání preferencí při výběru partnera mladší a starší generace. Její obsah je rozdělen do dvou hlavních částí. Teoretická část popisuje různé historické pojetí partnerských vztahů, které se zaměřuje na pohled starší generace při výběru partnera, dále strategie výběru partnera z pohledu sociální a evoluční psychologie a výzkumy provedené v této oblasti v zahraničí i v ČR. Empirická část je zaměřena na popis realizovaného výzkumu v generaci dnešních adolescentů. Výzkum sleduje především preference při výběru partnera v oblastech duševních, sociálních a biologických. Dále sleduje ukazatele vztahové kvality a vlastnosti, které mají negativní vliv na výběr partnera. Výsledky zmíněných kategorií se vztahují k preferencím výběru partnera a pro jejich získání byl použit dotazník vlastní konstrukce vycházející z výzkumů a teoretických poznatků v předchozí části. V závěrečné části jsou srovnány preference starší generace z předchozích výzkumů a teorií, s realizovaným výzkumem u skupiny současných adolescentů.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis is focused on a comparison of preferences in choosing a partner of younger and older generation. Its content is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part describes various historical concepts of partnership relations that focus on the view the older generation has on selection of a partner, the strategy of choosing partner from the point of view of social and evolutionary psychology and researches carried out in this field both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The empirical part deals with the description of the research conducted in the generation of today's adolescents. The research focuses principally on preferences in choosing a partner in mental, social and biological spheres. It also monitors the indicators of relationship quality and characteristics that have a negative impact on partner selection. The result of the categories above relate to the preferences of the partner selection. A questionnaire of own construction, based on the researches and theoretical knowledge from the theoretical part, was used to obtain the data. The final part compares the preferences of the older generation from previous researches and theories with the conducted research in the group of current adolescents.
