Mobility of Customers of Banks

Abstract:

V současné době probíhá velká konkurence mezi bankami ohledně získávání nových klientů. Jednotlivé banky, ať malé či velké, se snaží své klienty udržet, resp. získat. Rozmach přechodu klientů k jiné bance začal koncem 20. století zavedením tzv. Kodexu české bankovní asociace (dále jen ČBA) – Mobilita klienta. Vznikem tohoto Kodexu ČBA převedlo své účty do jiných bank již mnoho klientů. Hlavními důvody přesunu klientů byly nízkonákladová konta nebo účty vedené bez poplatků. Ve své bakalářské práci se zaměřím právě na toto aktuální téma současnosti „Mobilita bankovních klientů“, ve které se pokusím nastínit základní pojmy bankovního sektoru, vznik Kodexu ČBA a jeho důsledky, následné kroky potřebné k realizaci přechodu k jiné bance a jejich výhody a nevýhody. Závěr své práce budu věnovat provedeným výzkumům, ať již mou osobou či třetími stranami.

Abstract:

There is currently major competition among banks in the acquisition of new clients. Individual banks, whether large or small, are trying to retain their clients and accounts, and acquire new ones. The boom in clients switching to other banks began at the end of the 20th century with the introduction of the Czech Banking Association (CBA) Code – Client Mobility. On the introduction of the CBA Code, other banks have many clients switched their accounts. The main reasons why clients switched banks was low-cost accounts or accounts with no administration fee. In my bachelor’s thesis, I will be focusing on this current topic and examining the “Mobility of Bank Clients” and attempting to outline the basic concepts of the banking sector, the establishment of the CBA Code and its consequences, the subsequent steps required to switch to another bank, and the advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion of my thesis will examine previously conducted research, whether by me or by third parties.
