The aim of this bachelor thesis is to research the impact of the monetary crisis in early 1990's on the attitude of UK towards the acceptance of Euro, as well as to enlighten the real motives of the government behind the introduction of five economic tests. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je preskúmať vplyv menovej krízy na začiatku 90-tych rokov na postoj Veľkej Británie k prijatiu eura, ako aj objasniť skutočné motívy vlády pri predstavení tzv. piatich ekonomických testov.
