Diplomová práce se zabývá interpretacemi kulturních dějin v teoriích interpretace. Cílem práce bylo porovnat klasickou kulturní historii představenou Jacobem Burckhardtem s novým historismem, který reprezentují Stephen Greenblatt a Catherine Gallagherová. The diploma thesis is focused on the interpretation of history and culture in contemporary theories of interpretation. The aim of this work is to compare classical cultural history represented by Jacob Burckhardt with new historicism represented by Stephen Greenblatt and Catherine Gallagher.
