Career Success of Preprimary School Teachers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá profesní úspěšností učitelů mateřských škol odrážející kvalitu výkonu v edukační realitě. Teoretická část vymezuje profesní úspěšnost prostřednictvím dějinných impulzů i aktuálního konceptu kvality mapujícího dimenze nároků na kvalitní výkon profese ideou standardu učitele. Hledání cesty k profesní úspěšnosti je naznačeno gradací jednotlivých komponent profesního standardu a jeho průzorem jsou představeny modely ISSA, RWCT a kompetenční model jako konstrukty profesní úspěšnosti. Empirická část se zabývá výzkumem inovativních změn a jejich příčin v edukační realitě, mapuje souvislosti mezi profesními kompetencemi a zachycuje jejich vliv na profesní úspěšnost v zorném úhlu učitelů mateřských škol. Zvolenou metodologickou strategií je triangulace zdrojů dat. Metoda rozhovoru odhalila nejfrekventovanější oblast změn a inovací v edukační realitě týkající se sdílení a spolupráce s kolegy. Psychosociální metodou sémantický diferenciál byly dekompozicí tabelovaných dat zachyceny složky postojů učitelů mateřských škol k profesním kompetencím a to v rovině kognitivní, emocionální a konativní. Výpočtem lineární distance proměnných v sémantickém prostoru byly detekovány pozitivní orientace učitelů mateřských škol a relativně blízké vazby mezi pojmy: profesní znalosti a dovednosti, podpora vzdělávání a komunikace s rodiči. Z množiny hodnocených proměnných byly zjištěny nejméně pozitivní orientace k souboru pojmů: reflexe, komunikace se sociálními partnery a specifické profesní znalosti a dovednosti. Q-metoda byla zdrojem dat o konfiguraci profesních kompetencí v perspektivě profesní úspěšnosti. Významná shoda ve vysoké akceptaci vlivu byla zachycena u Q-typu označujícího působení profesních znalostí a dovedností na úspěšnost učitele mateřské školy. Výsledky výzkumu poukázaly na nízkou míru vlivu komunikace se sociálními partnery na profesní úspěch učitelů mateřských škol.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the career success of pre-primary school teachers which reflects the quality of performance in educational reality. The theoretical part defines the career success by means of historical impulses and the current quality concept describing the dimensions of the demand on quality professional performance through the idea of teacher´s standard. Seeking the way to the career success is indicated by the gradation of the professional standard individual components and through its aperture ISSA, RWCT and the competition model are presented as career success constructs. The empirical part deals with the research of innovative changes and their causes in educational reality, conducts a survey of relatedness between professional competencies and records its influence on career success in the pre-primary school teachers. Triangulation of data sources is chosen as a methodological strategy. The dialogue method revealed the most frequently occurring area of changes and innovations in educational reality relating to participation and cooperation with colleagues. By means of the psychosocial technique of semantic differential the components of the preprimary school teachers´ attitudes to career competencies were detected through the decomposition of tabulated data on the cognitive, emotional and conative level. Positive orientations of pre-primary school teachers and comparatively close linkage between professional knowledge and skills, educational support and communication with parents were discovered through the calculation of linear distance of variables in semantic space. The least positive orientation to the set of concepts: reflection, communication with social partners and specific professional knowledge and skills were determined out of the set of the assessed variables. Q-method was used as a source of data relating to the configuration of professional competencies in the career success perspective. Significant congruence in high acceptance of influence was transcribed with Q-type denoting the effect of professional knowledge and skills on the career success of a preprimary school teacher. The research results refer to low influence of communication with social partners on the career success of pre-primary school teachers.
