The thesis will trace the common elements of magic realism in the context with elements in the Slovak literature. Moje bakalářská práce se zabývá prvky magického realismu Latinské Ameriky v kontextu s prvky v literatuře slovenské. Snažím se prezentovat osobnost Gabriela Garcíi Márqueze a Václava Pankovčína a na základě srovnání imaginárních měst, které se objevují v dílech: Sto roků samoty a Marakéš, hledám společné znaky a význam magického realismu.
