Automatic detection of errors in syntactic agreement: extension of rules

Abstract:

Cílem předkládané diplomové práce je zlepšení automatické detekce chyb pro nový korektor češtiny v oblasti gramatické shody. První část je zaměřena na úvod do problematiky a vytváření chybějících pravidel v oblasti shodného přívlastku v instrumentálu plurálu, shody tříčlenného podmětu s přísudkem, shody mezi slovesnými tvary a tvoření podmiňovacího způsobu. Součástí práce je vyhodnocení úspěšnosti vytvořených pravidel na větách z jazykových korpusů. V druhé části práce jsou popsány problémy, které se objevily během testování, jejich analýza a řešení.

Abstract:

The goal of the presented thesis is to improve automatic detection of errors in syntactic agreement for a new Czech grammar checker. The first part focuses on introduction to the issue and creating missing rules of concordant adjectival attribute in the plural instrumental case word form, the concord of a three-member subject and a predicate, agreement between verb forms and the creation of conditional forms. The evaluation of success rates of the created rules based on sentences from language corpora is a part of this thesis. The second part of this text describes problems which appeared during testing, as well as their analysis and resolution.
