Debt issues of patiens hospitalized at the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty Hospital in Pilsen

Abstract:

Cílem práce je porozumět důvodu zadlužení a následné hospitalizaci pacientů. Zjistit, jakým způsobem svoji situaci řeší. Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy použité v práci: dluh, zadlužení a instituce, které tyto produkty nabízejí. Dále popisuje onemocnění pacientů, kteří jsou na klinice hospitalizovaní v souvislosti s dluhy. Vzhledem k výzkumu, který byl prováděn ve zdravotnickém zařízení, bylo nutné mít souhlas etické komise, ten je v přílohové části práce. V závěru teoretické části jsou představeny neziskové organizace, které se na území města Plzně zabývají dluhovým poradenstvím. V praktické části byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná metoda a techniky sběru dat ? rozhovory s pacienty, lékařským personálem a rodinnými příslušníky, dále pak studium dokumentů a případové studie. Výzkumný vzorek tvoří 12 pacientů. Ve výzkumné části jsou popsány výsledky na dílčí výzkumné otázky. Ukazují, že životní situace pacienta-dlužníka je ovlivněna rozmanitými faktory. Zjištěné výsledky budou sloužit jako podkladový materiál k systematickému postupu při práci se zadluženými pacienty.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to explain the reasons of debts and subsequent hospitalization of patiens. The aim is also to determine how these patients solve their situation. The theoretical part defines terms used in the work: debt, getting in debt, and institutions that offer these products. There are also described the common disorders of patients who are hospitalized at the clinic in connection with debt. Because of the fact that the research was held in a hospital, it was necessary to have an ethics committee approval (this is attached in the apendix of the work). In conclusion of the theoretical part there are presented the non-profit organizations which deal with debt counseling in the city of Pilsen. In the practical part was chosen a qualitative research metod and techniques of data collection ? interview with patiens, medical staff and family members, also study of dokuments and case studies. The sample consists of 12 patients. In the research part there are described the results of the specific research questions. They show that the life situation of the patient as the debtor is influenced by various factors. The results will serve as a background material for the systematic approach when working with patients indebted.
