Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem a analýzou vybraných úseků z představení "Minding the Monsters" Jeffa Dunhama. Práce je rozdělena na tři části: úvod, praktickou část a teoretickou část. Úvodní kapitola se zabývá umělcem a jeho vystoupením. Je zde popsán typ vystoupení - břichomluvectví. Dále tato kapitola obsahuje stručnou historii tohoto umění a zmíněného umělce. Praktická část se skládá z překladu vybraných částí představení. Teoretická část obsahuje analýzu překladu a zahrnuje příklady s komentáři. Skládá se z následujících kapitol: hovorová řeč, vlastní jména, kulturní reference, vulgarismy, idiomy, básně a rýmy, citoslovce a slovní hříčky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis consists of translation and analysis of chosen fragments of a performance "Minding the Monsters" by Jeff Dunham. The thesis is divided into three chapters: introduction, the practical part and the theoretical part. The introduction focuses on the artist and his performance. It describes the kind of the performance - ventriloquism. Furthermore, this chapter provides a brief history of both the art and the artist. The practical chapter contains the translation of fragments from the performance. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the translation and provides examples with a commentary. The theoretical part involves these chapters: colloquial language, proper nouns, cultural references, pejoratives, idioms, poems and rhymes, interjections and puns.
