The thesis’s topic is the literature for children, especially the genre of fantastic literature. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dětské literatury v NDR, zejména žánrem fantastická literatura. Na začátku práce je vymezen pojem "literatura pro děti a mládež". Poté následuje část věnující se dětské literatuře v NDR, jejím historickým předpokladům, podmínkám tvorby a charakteristickým znakům.
