The legend of Agnes of Bohemia (typology of women in hagiography of the High Middle Ages)
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá ženskou typologií v hagiografickém diskurzu. Autorka se zabývá legendou o sv. Anežce České s incipitem Candor lucis aeternae, kterou následně srovnává se svatoludmilskými legendami 10. století. Jádrem práce je komparace obrazů světic vytvořených legendami v 10. a 13. století.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with typology of women in hagiographical discourse. The author analyses the legend of Agnes of Bohemia with incipit “Candor lucis aeternae”, which she then compares with legends of Ludmila of Bohemia from the 10th century. The main focus of this thesis is to compare and contrast images of saints created by legends from the 10th and the 13th century.
