Archaeogenetics, the study of ancient DNA, is often combined with anthropology, archeology, history, and linguistics for wide-ranging studies of human population history. Archeogenetika je relativně nové vědecké odvětví oboru historie populací. Tato práce je zaměřena na populační historii dvou regionů: i) Americké Arktidy, ii) Neolitické Anatolie. Osidlování Ameriky probíhalo v období mezi Posledním glaciálním maximem (LGM) až do doby před 12,000 lety.
