Abstract:

Diplomová práce Život rukama reflektuje proces tvorby dokumentárního filmu (sociálního portrétu). Skládá se ze dvou částí: hlavním výstupem práce je DVD s filmem, druhou část pak tvoří text. Tématem práce je slepá a nemocná žena – Eva Vilímová – a její osud. Audiovizuální dílo formují čtyři kapitoly. První sleduje Evino ne příliš šťastné dětství a naznačuje, jak Eva onemocněla. Druhá nejdramatičtější kapitola vypráví o Eviných nemocech. Ve třetí se diváci dozvídají i o radostnějších stránkách Evina života, jejích přátelích z Unie nevidomých na Slovensku. Poslední kapitola ukazuje Evinu vůli, samostatnost a odhodlanost bojovat s vlastním osudem, a to prostřednictvím účasti na abilympiádách. Natáčení zabralo tři dny a film má 22:40 min. Text práce se skládá ze dvou velkých částí. V první uvádím obecné informace o nevidomých, abilympiádě a také vybrané teoretické koncepty vztahující se k dokumentárnímu filmu (historie, objektivita versus subjektivita, etika, atd.). Druhá část popisuje preprodukci, produkci a postprodukci filmu. Cílem této práce je ukázat konkrétní osobu bojující s vlastním osudem. V diváku evokuje zamyšlení se nad současnou uspěchanou společností a nad neviditelnou bariérou mezi My (zdraví) a Oni.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis called “The life through hands” reflects the process of creating a documentary film (social portrait). It consists of two parts – a DVD (which is the main output of this diploma thesis) and a text part. The main topic is one blind and ill woman from Slovakia – Eva Vilímová – and her story of life. The film consists of four chapters: the first one follows Eva´s not very happy childhood and implies how Eva has got sick. The second one is the most dramatic one and tells about her diseases. The third one brings into Eva´s life the sun – friends from the Union of blind people of Slovakia. And the last chapter shows Eva´s strong will, independency and her fight against the destiny through her participation on abilympics games. Filming of this documentary film took three days and it has 22:40 min. The text has two parts. The first gives general information about blind people, abilypics games and also contents theoretical background of documentary film (its history, relation between objectivity and subjectivity, ethics, etc.). The second part describes preproduction, production and postproduction phase of the film “Life through hands”. The idea of this diploma thesis is to show one concrete example of the strong person fighting against her destiny. And may bye it could help this fast society to stop and think about the barrier between We (healthy people without the necessity to fight against anything) and Them.
