The National Debt of the Czech Republic, its Development and its Causes

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Státní dluh České republiky, jeho vývoj a příčiny jeho vzniku" se zabývá státním dluhem. Cílem práce je analýza státního dluhu od vzniku samostatné České republiky po současnost. Práce metodou kritické analýzy vývoj a příčiny vzniku státního dluhu v souvislosti s ekonomickým prostředím v ČR a Evropské unii. V práci bude provedena analýza příjmů a výdajů státního rozpočtu ČR, jejichž nerovnováha je příčinou vzniku deficitů. Bakalářská práce nastiňuje budoucí vývoj deficitu s ohledem na předpokládaný demografický vývoj. Cílem práce nebylo navrhnout řešení na omezení deficitu a snížení státního dluhu, jelikož jeho vývoj je významně svázán s politickými preferencemi, které nelze předvídat. První kapitola obecně charakterizuje státní dluh a je zaměřena na státní rozpočet ČR. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na vývoj státního dluhu od vzniku ČR po současnost. Dluh je srovnáván také s vybranými zeměmi EU. Data byla čerpána z Evropského statistického řadu, z Českého statistického úřadu a Ministerstva financí ČR. Třetí kapitola je věnována příčinám vzniku státního dluhu. Poslední kapitola odhaduje vývoj dluhu v souvislosti s očekávaným demografickým vývojem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis called "The National Debt of the Czech Republic, its Development and its Causes" deals with the national debt. The aim is to analyse the national debt from the independent Czech Republic to present. The work will analyse the causes and development of the national debt in relation to the economic environment in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The paper is an analysis of the revenue and expenditure of the state budget of the Czech Republic, whose imbalance is the cause of deficits. Bachelor thesis outlines the future development of the deficit with respect to the expected demographic development. The work does not aim to propose solutions to reduce the deficit and reduce the national debt, because its development is strongly tied to political preferences, which cannot be predicted. The first chapter characterizes the government debt generally, and is focused on the state budget. The second chapter focuses on the development of the national debt from the independent Czech Republic to present. The debt is compared with selected EU countries. Data were drawn from the European statistical series from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Finance. The third chapter is devoted to the causes of the national debt. The last chapter predicts the development of debt in relation to the demographic development.
