The formation of autonomy in adolescence in the context of family relations

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vývoj autonomie v období adolescence v kontextu rodinných vztahů. Zaměřuje se na proces samotný s důrazem na výchovu a podporu ze strany rodiny. Výzkum byl prováděn formou online dotazníkového šetření. Zde se zjišťovalo, zda faktory jako je podpora autonomie, rodinná dynamika či způsob výchovy mají na tento jev významný vliv a zda v těchto oblastech lze najít odlišnosti. Dotazník zahrnoval škály ASQ a BPNS a Dotazník pro zjišťování způsobu výchovy v rodině. Výzkumný soubor tvoří 328 respondentů z České republiky z toho 284 žen, 42 mužů a dva jedinci se identifikovali jako nebinární a transgender. Z výzkumu vyplynulo, že mezi nejdůležitější vlivy na vytváření autonomie u adolescentů patří především podpora ze strany rodiny a také způsob výchovných stylů rodičů. Na základě analýzy rozptylu byly zjištěny statisticky významné rozdíly mezi průměry skupin ve sledované proměnné u obou rodičů (otce i matky). Tento výsledek podporuje názor, že rodičovské styly výchovy mají vliv na proces vývoje autonomie. Dále se jako jeden z dalších vlivných činitelů ukázala podpora autonomie ze strany rodiny, která má také silný vliv na rozvoj autonomie u adolescentů. Výsledky této práce tak přibližují problematiku tohoto vývojového období, rodinných vztahů a také celkový proces vývoje autonomie.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the development of autonomy in adolescence in the context of family relationships. It focuses on the process itself, mainly on parenting and support by parents. The research was conducted by a questionnaire survey. It focused on whether factors such as support of autonomy, family dynamics or ways of parenting have an increased impact on autonomy and whether we can find any differences in this field. The questionnaire included ASQ and BPNS scales and also a questionnaire for detecting forms of parenting. The research set consists of 328 respondents from the Czech Republic, of which 284 are women, 42 men, and 2 non-binary or transgender individuals. The research showed that family support and the way of parenting are among the most important impacts on the development of autonomy in adolescents. Based on the analysis of the distribution, there were found statistically significant differences between the groups raised by mother and father. This result supports the view that the ways of parenting have an impact on the process of development of autonomy. Furthermore, one of the other influential factors was the support of autonomy from the daily side, which also In addition, family support for autonomy has also emerged as one of the other influential factors, which also has a strong influence on the development of autonomy in adolescents. The results of this thesis approach the issues of this development phase, family relationships, and also the complex process of autonomy development.
