Kongresový cestovný ruch je vysoko lukratívnym odvetvím cestovného ruchu, ktoré dopomáha k zviditeľneniu krajiny a zlepšenia jej ekonomiky. Rozvoj tejto oblasti sa tak zaraďuje medzi nevyhnutné oblasti, na ktoré by sa mali krajiny sústrediť.
