Intercultural Aspects a Moral Judgment of Romany and Czech Adolescents

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá morálním usuzováním romských a českých adolescentů. Teoretická část je zaměřena na významné aspekty osobnosti ovlivňující morální usuzování i jednání. Dále jsou popsány specifické vývojové změny v období adolescence a také specifika Romů jako etnické skupiny. Empirická část je uvedena metodologickou stránkou výzkumného šetření. Po uvedení výzkumných otázek a hypotéz jsou popsány tři výběrové soubory, tvořené 390 českými a 122 romskými adolescenty. Dále jsou zmíněny metody sběru dat, které byly realizovány prostřednictvím dotazníků a také řešením několik morálních dilemat, se kterými se mohou dospívající setkat v běžném životě. V těchto dotaznících respondenti posuzovali „dobrého“ a „zlého“ člověka a také sami sebe pomocí 21 párů stejných adjektiv. Základní otázka zněla, zda a v čem se odlišují čeští a romští adolescenti ve svém morálním usuzování a zda také existují rozdíly mezi dívkami a chlapci. Závěr práce je věnován výsledkům a interpretaci dat.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with moral judgment of Romany and Czech adolescents. Theoretic part is focuses on important aspects personality biasing moral judgment and action. Further there are described specific developmental changes in the adolescent stage and particularities of Romany people as an ethnic. The empirical part of the work introduces the methodological aspect of the research. Then is described research questions, hypothesis and also three samples of 390 Czech adolescents, and 122 Romany adolescents, participated in this research. There are also described the methods of the research. Further are mentioned methods of collecting data that the were to be realized through inquiries as well as solving several moral dilemmas, which they may adolescents experience in common life. In these questionnaire respondents evaluated „ good" and „ bad" person as well as themselves through 21 pair of same adjective. Fundamental question was, whether difference Czech and Romany adolescents in his moral judgment and whether also exist discrepancy between girls and boys. The conclusion is dedicated to the research results and their interpretation.
