The Risks of Contemporary Terrorism and the War against It

Abstract:

V teoretické části práce je shrnuta historie, vývoj a obecná problematika terorismu ve světě i u nás. Zmíněno je zde několik nejznámějších útoků poslední doby, včetně jejich průběhu a následků. Dále jsou rozvedeny možnosti řešení problematiky terorismu, práce tajných služeb a vybraných protiteroristických jednotek. V praktické části je na vzorku respondentů zkoumán postoj české populace k hrozbám terorismu. Cílem této práce je uvést čtenáře do problematiky terorismu, zdůraznit důležitost předvídání nebezpečí v situacích běžného života, zamezení rozsáhlých škod při možném teroristickém útoku a především záchranu lidských životů.

Abstract:

Theoretical part of this work summarizes history, progression and general problems of terrorism worldwide and in Czech Republic. The work describes last several attacks including their claims record, expands terrorism solutions, secret services and selected counter terrorist units work systems. Practical part examines attitude towards terrorist threads on selected sample of Czech population. Aim of the work is to show terrorism as a great problem in relation to predict dangerous situations in common life, prevent extensive damage during terrorist attack and mainly save human lives.
