Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou jazyka Business Process Execution Language. Nejprve se však práce zaměřuje na dva hlavní přístupy, které využívají jazyk BPEL. Jedná se o přístup servisně orientované architektury (SOA) a přístup Business Process Managementu. Práce postupně definuje a ukazuje vlastnosti SOA a BPM a určuje klíčovou roli jazyka BPEL v SOA a v BPM. Důležitá je část o propojení SOA a BPM, která poukazuje na jednotlivé problémy při propojení obou přístupů pomocí jazyka BPEL a na odlišnost businessu a IT, kterou je zde potřeba překonat. Po uvedení základních směrů, které využívají jazyk BPEL se práce věnuje přímo tomuto jazyku. Potom, co je uvedena základní charakteristika, je BPEL definován a zařazen do historie. Krátký odstavec je věnován také BPEL engine, který vykonává spustitelné business procesy. Následně jsou popsány jednotlivé důležité elementy jazyka BPEL a životní cyklus BPEL procesu. Na závěr druhé části jsou uvedeny nevýhody jazyka. Poslední část se snaží porovnat vybrané nástroje pro práci s jazykem BPEL na základě jejich vlastností definovaných pomocí kritérií. V přílohách je nejprve ukázáno, jak je možné převést business proces z modelu do spustitelné podoby a také příklady praktického využití jazyka BPEL pro orchestraci služeb a pro kompletní využití životního cyklu BPM.

Abstract:

The thesis is dealt with the question of Business Process Execution Language. First of all, the work is focused on two main approaches which make use of the BPEL language. It concerns the approach to both service oriented architecture (SOA) and Business Process Management. The thesis subsequently defines and shows the features of SAO and BPM and determines the key role of BPEL in SOA and BPM. The important part describes alignment of SOA and BPM which shows individual problems of alignment of both approaches by the help of BPEL language. Furthermore it shows the difference between business and IT, which is necessary to overcome. After the two basic trends, that use BPEL language, are introduced the work attends directly to the BPEL language. After the basic characteristics are explained, BPEL language is defined and filed into history. A short paragraph is devoted to BPEL engine, which performs the executable business processes. Consequently the important elements of BPEL language and life-cycle of BPEL process are described. The second part of the thesis is concluded by disadvantages of BPEL language. The last part aims to compare selected tools for the use of BPEL language on the basis of their features defined by criteria. As firstly showed in appendix, there is a possibility to transfer business process from a model to an executable form. Furthermore there are also examples of practical BPEL language usage for service orchestration and for complete usage of the BPM life-cycle.
