Design and construction of an upholstered seating element with an additional function

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je návrh čalouněného mobiliáře na základě rešerše současného nábytku. Vytvoření konstrukčního řešení, které bude reflektovat poznatky současných technologií a přídavných funkcí. Zároveň bude důležitá estetická implementace řešení. Mobiliář bude navržen pro průmyslovou výrobu, což znamená také využití současných technologií konstrukce a čalounění. Součástí práce bude technická dokumentace, kusovníky, pevnostní analýza a ekonomické zhodnocení nákladů. Ověření návrhu proběhne pomocí prototypu v měřítku 1:1

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the design of upholstered furniture based on a research of contemporary furniture. To create a design solution that reflects the findings of current technologies and additional functions. At the same time, the aesthetic implementation of the solution will be important. The furnishing will be designed for industrial production, which also implies the use of current construction and upholstery technologies. The work will include technical documentation, bill of materials and strength analysis and economic cost evaluation. The design will also be verified with a 1:1 scale prototype.
