Child neglect in the transgenerational transmission

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na postoje sociálních pracovníků v situaci zanedbávání dítěte v rámci transgeneračního přenosu. Autorka se snaží najít odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jaké postoje k zanedbávání dětí v rámci transgeneračního přenosu zaujímají sociální pracovníci? Bakalářská práce obsahuje tři části: teoretickou, metodologickou a interpretační. Teoretická část je zaměřena na definování základních pojmů. Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy jako je zanedbávání dítěte, transgenerační přenos, sociální pracovník a postoj. Metodologická část obsahuje metodologický postup prováděného kvalitativního výzkumu. Kvalitativní výzkum byl proveden za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů u vybraných sociálních pracovníků. Interpretační část obsahuje interpretaci dílčích výzkumných otázek, které vznikly na základě operacionalizace v metodologické části. Tyto dílčí výzkumné otázky byly vytvořeny na základě třech složek postojů (kognitivní, emocionální a konativní složka). Díky provedenému výzkumu u sociálních pracovníků a následné interpretace skrz složky postoje bylo možno zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku. Výzkum poskytnul rozmanitá zjištění o sociálních pracovnících, jaké postoje zaujímají vůči zanedbávání dítěte v rámci transgeneračního přenosu. Na základě zjištění z interpretační části jsou uvedeny limity výzkumu a doporučení pro praxi a další výzkum.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the attitudes of social workers in the situation of child neglect in the transgenerational transmission. The author tries to answer the main research question which is: What attitudes to child neglect in the transgenerational transmission social workers have? Bachelor thesis consists of three parts: theoretical, methodological and interpretive. The theoretical part is focused on defining basic terms. The theoretical part defines terms such as child neglect, transgenerational transmission, social worker and attitude. The methodological part contains the methodological process which was conducted by qualitative research. Qualitative research was conducted with the help of the half-structured interviews with selected social workers. Interpretive part contains the interpretation of partial research questions which was created on the basis of operationalization in the methodological part. These partial research questions were developed based on three components of attitudes (cognitive, emotional and conative component).Thanks to executed research at social workers and the subsequent interpretation through component of attitudes to be able to answer the main research question. Research has provided diverse findings about social workers what attitudes social workers have in the situation of child neglect in the transgenerational transmission. Based on the findings from interpretative parts are presented the limits of research and recommendations for practice and another research.
