Abstract:

Předmětem magisterské diplomové práce je téma čínských toponym (exonym) v českém textu, konkrétně ve vybraných cestopisech z cest na Východ v druhé polovině 20. století. Práce se zaměřuje na způsoby adaptace čínských toponym v češtině, zohledňuje rovněž případné tendence autorů cestopisů při zvolení adaptační strategie. Práce se dělí na tři části. V první části se věnujeme vývoji čínské toponomastiky, teorií exonym, struktuře čínských exonym a metodě jejich adaptace do jazyků v rámci sinosféry, ale především adaptaci do jazyků používajících latinku a do češtiny. Druhá část pojednává o českých, či všeobecně západních cestovatelích a cestopisech o Číně, v níž jde o obrazy navštívené země vytvořené v cestopisné literatuře v různých historických obdobích. Třetí, praktická část, je jádrem práce, a zaměřuje se na funkční komparativní analýzu vnitřní struktury endonym a jejich českých ekvivalentů, a to na materiálu analyzovaných cestopisů.

Abstract:

This master's thesis studies the Chinese toponyms (exonyms) in Czech travelogues, especially the ones about trips to the East in the second half of the 20th century. This study focuses on the ways of adapting Chinese toponyms into Czech, taking into account individual travelogue author's possible tendencies of choosing adaptation strategies. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part explains the development of Chinese toponomastics, the theory of exonyms, the structure of Chinese toponyms and their adaptation methods into other languages within the sinosphere, and most importantly, how Chinese toponyms are adapted into latin and Czech. The second part introduces the images of China presented in the travelogues written by Western travelers, including Czech travelers during different historical periods. The third part is the core of the thesis, focusing on the functional comparative analysis of the internal structure of Chinese endonyms and their Czech equivalents in the selected travelogues.
