Práca je zameraná na oceňovanie pozemkov v Slovenskej republike. Opísaná je stručne genéza oceňovania od prelomu 19. a 20. storočia až do súčasnosti. Je v nej zadefinovaná cena a hodnota pozemku a ich vzťah.
