Práce se zabývá postavou Reynalda z Châtillonu, křižáckého vůdce v období křížových výprav. Vzhledem k provázanosti života tohoto šlechtice, politických událostí v Levantě a zmínkách v dobových kronikách, se první části této práce věnuji prvním padesáti letům křižáckých států na Blízkém Východě. Abstract:
This thesis focuses on life of Reynald of Châtillon, a crusader-leader during the period of the Crusades and the strife between Christianity and Islam. Because of the inevitable interconnection between the life of Reynald, his mentions in contemporary sources and the events in the Levant, the first chapters explain the first fifty years of the Crusader states in the Near East.
