Design and Implementation of an Online Information Database of the basic concepts of the economic theory and the biographies of the major world economists

Abstract:

Úvod diplomové práce analyzuje průběh tvorby databáze v prostředí Microsoft Access nejdříve teoreticky. Poté je ve druhé kapitole celý proces utváření databáze od návrhu po samotné vytvoření tabulek a vazeb mezi nimi objasněn prakticky na příkladu tvorby databáze světově významných ekonomů a základních pojmů ekonomické teorie, což je jádrem celé diplomové práce. Výsledná databáze je umístěna a přístupna na internetových stránkách Fakulty ekonomické Západočeské univerzity v Plzni. Druhá část textu diplomové práce se zabývá chronologickým nástinem vývoje rozhodujících směrů ekonomického myšlení, přičemž akcent je kladen jednak zejména na rozpory mezi hlavními proudy ekonomického myšlení, ale také na významné body, v nichž na sebe jednotlivé školy navazují a které od svých předchůdců přejímají. Všechny tyto ekonomické školy jsou v databázi zahrnuty.

Abstract:

Introduction of Diploma Thesis analyzes the process (course) of database production (creation) at first theoretically. After that, in second chapter, is the whole process shown by configuration of the database from design to creating tables and bindings between the tables. Practical creating of the database is shown by formation database of the major world economists and the basic concepts of the economic theory, which the core of the database is. Consequential database is set and available at the webpage of The Faculty of Economics, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Second part of the Diploma Thesis text is occupied by a chronological outline of history of the critical directions of economic development. Particular emphasis is placed on differences between the mainstream of economic development. In this part are also highlighted important points, in which the individual schools of economics referring to upon himself and which schools take over from their predecessors. All these economic schools are included in the database.
