Food Wasting in Turkey

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit a popsat problematiku plýtvání potravinami a nakládání s jejich zbytky se zaměřením na turecké domácnosti. Jsou shrnuty základní informace o plýtvání ve světě a v Turecku. Zaměřila jsem se na analýzu faktorů, které ovlivňují plýtvání jídlem a přístup obyvatel k současné situaci potravinového odpadu v Eskişehiru a okolí. Zmíněno je také plýtvání chlebem, které se považuje za kritické v celé zemi. Jsou vymezeny příčiny a environmentální a socioekonomické dopady potravinového odpadu a ztrát v jednotlivých fázích potravinového řetězce. Je analyzován přístup státu k danému problému a navržena opatření pro snížení plýtvání potravinami.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to expound and describe the issue of food wasting and waste management with focus on Turkish households. Basic information about wasting in the world and in Turkey is summarized. I focused on the analysis of factors that affect food wasting and the population's approach to the current situation of food waste in Eskisehir and its surroundings. The waste of bread, which is considered to be critical throughout the whole country, is also mentioned. The causes and environmental and socio-economic impacts of food waste and losses in particular stages of the food chain are defined. The approach of the state to the problem is analyzed and measures to reduce food wasting are proposed.
