Biosensor for point-of-care assay of lactate

Abstract:

In this Bachelor 's thesis I focus on biosensors for point-of-care assay of lactate. The point-of-care devices perform sample analysis on-site and enable immediate evaluation. In the theoretical part, I will describe the composition of the biosensor, familiarize the reader with point-of-care devices and their application. I will focus on the question, why it is good to measure lactate. In the practical part, I try to program data storage from the device in integrated development environment called Droidcript. I will measure the lactate samples from the saliva and verify the ability of the device to measure the correct lactate values.

Abstract:

V tejto bakalárskej práci sa venujem prístroju point-of-care pre laktát. Point-of-care prístroje vykonávajú analýzu vzorku na mieste potreby a umožňujú okamžité vyhodnotenie. V teoretickej časti budem popisovať zloženie biosenzoru, oboznámim čitateľa s prístrojmi point-of-care a s ich uplatnením. Ďalej sa zameriam na otázku prečo je dobré merať laktát. V praktickej časti sa pokúsim naskriptovať ukladanie dát z prístroja pomocou užívatelského prostredia Droidscript. Budem merať vzorky laktátu zo slín a overím schopnosť prístroja zaznamenávať správne hodnoty laktátu.
