5000 years of foreign language textbooks

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá historickým vývojem učebnice cizího jazyka od prvních textových záznamů po současnost. Převážně se zaměřuje na tři oblasti. Pedagogickou stránku popi-sující rozvoj pedagogiky a její největší osobnosti, pedagogické směry a výzkumy zabývající se problematikou obsahu, struktury a funkce učebnice. Dále na vizuální stránku zahrnující grafickou a designovou podobu knihy, její tvar, materiály, vývoj písma, použití ilustrace a fotografie. A technologickou stránku, která představuje nejdůležitější technické a technologické objevy spojené s výrobou knihy, ať už se jedná o ručně psané, tištěné nebo elektronické učebnice. Praktickou částí je třetí díl učebnice češtiny pro malé cizince volně navazující na již použí-vané tituly. V této části jsou představeny ukázky grafické úpravy učebnice s využitím autorských ilustrací.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of thesis deals with the historical development of foreign language textbooks from the first text records to the present. Mainly focuses on three areas: educational area describing the development of education and famous people in education, educational trends and research dealing with content, structure and functions of textbooks. Next area is focused to the visual aspect involving graphic design and layout of the book, its shape, materials, development of writing, the use of illustrations and photographs. The last area concerns technological aspects, which represents the major technical and technological breakthroughs associated with the production of books, whether they are handwritten, printed or electronic textbooks. The practical part is the third volume of the Czech language textbook for young foreigners. This part presents examples of graphic layout and the illustrations of textbook.
