The influence of the enhancers for support of turfgrasses root growth

Abstract:

Trávy jsou velice rozšířené rostlinné druhy s širokým spektrem využití. Svou významnou úlohu mají v zemědělství a tvoří základ většiny trávníků. Tak jako v zemědělství, i v trávníkářství se využívá různých hnojiv a podpůrných prostředků a hledají se k nim i ekologické alternativy, které nemají negativní vliv na životní prostředí. V mé práci jsem se zabývala účinkem melasy a přípravku Vitalnova SeaMax z mořských řas. Jedná se o přírodní přípravky, které jsou doporučovány jako stimulátory růstu kořenů. Účinek přípravků byl zkoumán pomocí nádobového pokusu i v polních podmínkách. Nádobový pokus testoval účinek aplikace přípravků na růst kořenů předpěstovaného travního koberce, který byl vysazený do trubek naplněných pískem. Travní koberec byl složený ze směsi jílku vytrvalého (Lolium perenne) a lipnice luční (Poa pratensis). Pokus byl vyhodnocen ve dvou termínech (po 33 a 39 dnech od založení). Hodnotilo se celkem 10 parametrů – hmotnost suché nadzemní biomasy, hmotnost, hloubka a délka nových kořenů, dále jejich povrch, objem a průměrná tloušťka, délka kořenů v závislosti na jejich průměru, průměrný denní přírůstek a hustota prokořenění. Statisticky průkazné rozdíly byly nejzřetelnější u parametru hloubka kořenů. Průkazné rozdíly byly jak mezi variantami, tak mezi termíny odběru. Zatímco u prvního termínu hlouběji kořenila varianta ošetřená melasou (28 cm), u druhého termínu to byly trávníky ošetřené přípravkem z mořských řas (32 cm). Rozdíly byly zjištěny také u průměrného denního přírůstku kořenů. U prvního odběru dosahovaly kořeny s melasou přírůstku 8 mm . den-1. Při druhém termínu se přírůstek kořenů s melasou zmenšil na 6 mm . den-1 a rychleji přirůstaly kořeny ošetřené přípravkem z mořských řas (8 mm . den-1). Statisticky průkazné rozdíly mezi termíny byly u objemu a povrchu kořenů. Průměrný objem kořenů u prvního termínu byl 293 cm3 . m-2, u druhého termínu 394 cm3 . m-2. I u povrchu kořenů dosahovaly varianty u druhého termínu vyšších hodnot (průměrně 5,51 m2 . m-2) oproti prvnímu termínu (průměrně 4,19 m2 . m-2). Stejné přípravky byly aplikovány i v polním pokusu na vysetý trávník z jílku vytrvalého. Oproti předchozímu experimentu byla doplněna varianta, kdy se aplikovaly oba dva přípravky současně. Hodnotila se výška nadzemní hmoty a hloubka kořenů. Statisticky průkazný rozdíl se ale nezjistil u žádného z hodnocených parametrů.

Abstract:

Grasses are very common plant species. They are used in many ways. They are important part of the agriculture and they are the main part in turfgrasses. In agriculture or in turfgrass industry different types of fertilizers and supporting substances are used. We look for the ecological facilities which do not have a harmful effect on the environment. In my thesis I focused on the influence of the sea weeds extract and molasses as a naturalroot enhancers which are recommended for support of turgrasses growth. Their effect was studied in pot experiment and in the field trial. In the pot experiment we applied the fertilizers on the harvestedturf cut 25 mm below surface. It was put to the tubes filled with sand. The turfgrass was formed by perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and smooth-stalked meadow grass (Poa pratensis). The experiment was evaluated in two terms (after 33 and 39 days). Ten parameters were evaluated: the weight of the dry above-ground biomass, the weight, depth and length of the roots, their surface, roots volume and average thickness, the length of the roots depending on their diameter, average daily increment and root length density. The depth of the roots was statistically significant between the variants and between the periods of the evaluation. Variant with molasses had the deepest roots in the first period of the evaluation (28 cm). In the second period of the evaluation variant with sea weed extract had the biggest depth (32 cm). There were found the same differences of the parameter average daily increment. In the first period variant with molasses had the increment 8 mm . day-1. In the second period the increment of the variant with molasses was reduced to 6 mm . day-1 and the variant with sea weed extract had the average daily increment 8 mm . day-1. The volume and the surface area of roots were statistically different between time periods of the evaluation. The average volume of the first time period was 293 cm3 . m-2, the second time period had 394 cm3 . m-2. The root surface area was also largerin the first time period (5,51 m2 . m-2) compared to the second time period (4,19 m2 . m-2). The application of the sea weed extract and molasses on the perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne,variety Helada) in the field experiment however did not show any statistically significant differences.
