Cooperation between the medical examiner and the criminologists in the examination of the deceased person

Abstract:

Práce je věnována spolupráci soudního lékaře a kriminalistů při ohledání zemřelého. Pojednává se v ní o postupech a činnostech při ohledání zemřelého jak z pohledu orgánu činných v trestním řízení, tak i soudního lékaře. Součinnost těchto orgánu při provádění úkonů je z velké části propojená, zejména pokud je podezření, že smrt nastala cizím zaviněním. Práce je napsaná jak z teoretického hlediska, tak i praktického, a obohatila ji praktickými zkušenostmi pracovníků Policie ČR a soudního lékaře. Je zde také nastíněná problematika zdravotní a soudní pitvy, ztotožnění neznámé osoby, či postup a činnost při mimořádných událostech s výskytem velkého počtu zemřelých. Závěrečná část je věnována dokumentaci, která je velmi důležitou, stěžejní a současně nezbytnou součástí dané práce.

Abstract:

This dissertation is aimed at inquiry into the cooperation of the medical examiner and the criminologists in the examination of the deceased person. Its focus is on the procedures and practices of both the law enforcement authority and the medical examiner. The operations of the two authorities are closely linked, especially if it is suspected that the death was caused by someone else. The thesis approaches the subject from both the theoretical and practical points of view, based on research into the practices of the staff of the Police of the Czech Republic and the medical examiner. Also outlined is the issue of medical and judicial autopsy, identification of a deceased person, and the procedure and action in emergencies involving a large number of death. The final section is devoted to the documentation, which is crucial and necessary part of the work.
