This Master’s thesis disserts on essayistic works Massenwahntheorie (Hermann Broch) and Masse und Macht (Elias Canetti), which discuss the Mass Phenomenon, Mass Hysteria and related subjects. Both authors are literati and they lived in Vienna before the Second World War. In 1938 they emigrated and afterwards broke contact with each other. Magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá esejistickými dielami Massenwahntheorie (Hermann Broch) a Masse und Macht (Elias Canetti), ktoré pojednávajú o fenoméne davu a davovej psychózy, ako aj o ďalších témach s nimi spätými.
