Feasibility Study of the Master Thesis on Business Model of Circular Economy

Abstract:

Cirkulární ekonomika vytváří funkční a dlouhodobé udržitelné vztahy mezi přírodou a lidskou společností. Zachází se vším jako s cenným zdrojem a snaží se eliminovat vznik odpadu. Cílem diplomové práce je návrh cirkulárního business modelu opuštěné budovy na základě provedené literární rešerše a příkladech dobré praxe. Teoretická část definuje cirkulární ekonomiku, cirkulární business modely a představuje fungování jednotlivých objektů dle principů cirkulární ekonomiky. Praktická část diplomové práce sestavuje cirkulární business model pomocí Ecocanvas a Value proposition Canvas. Dále praktická část podrobně popisuje fungování celé budovy dle principů cirkulární ekonomiky a sestavuje zakladatelský rozpočet, který stanovuje výdaje nutné pro zahájení podnikání spolu s výnosy a náklady spojené s obchodní činností cirkulárního business modelu.

Abstract:

The circular economy creates a functional and long-term sustainable relationship between nature and human society. It treats everything as a valuable resource and seeks to eliminate waste. The aim of this master thesis is to propose a circular business model for an abandoned building based on a literature search and good practice examples. The theoretical part defines the circular economy, circular business models and presents the functioning of each building according to the principles of the circular economy. The practical part of the thesis builds a circular business model using Ecocanvas and Value proposition Canvas. Furthermore, the practical part describes in detail the functioning of the whole building according to the principles of circular economy and compiles a start-up budget, which determines the expenses necessary to start the business along with the revenues and costs associated with the business activities of the circular business model.
