Managerial aspects of the activities of the Institute of Archaeological Conservation of Central Bohemia

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá klíčovou organizaci v rámci archeologické památkové péče České republiky a správy archeologického dědictví, Ústav archeologické památkové péče středních Čech. Jejím cílem je zmapovat aktuální situaci v odvětví archeologické památkové péče a vnější i vnitřní vlivy působící na subjekt, stanovit a popisat základní problémy v památkové péči v České republice k roku 2022. Závěry této práce shrnují nedostatky, které způsobují snížení kvality péče o archeologické dědictví a nevyužitý potenciál ochrany národního kulturního bohatství na úkor nedostatečného financování či legislativu. Na základě SWOT analýzy je možné vidět markantní rozdíl v počtu příležitostí a hrozeb daného odvětví, kdy hrozby převládají. Analýza komunikačních prostředků Ústavu archeologické památkové péče dokazuje, že i přes snahy o edukaci veřejnosti je značně pohodnocen pro zajištění plného chodu primární činnosti Ústavu, kterou jsou archeologické výzkumy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines the key organization in the archeological conservation of the Czech Republic as well as the archeological heritage administration, Institute of Archaeological Conservation of Central Bohemia. Its aim is to chart the current situation in the archeological preservation field as well as to identify the external and internal elements influencing the subject, to determine and describe the basic problems in monument care in the Czech Republic by 2022. The conclusions resulting from this work show many deficiencies that cause reduction of the quality of care for the archaeological heritage and decrease of the use of the potential of national cultural wealth at the expense of insufficient funding or legislation. We observe a clear difference in the number of opportunities and threats in the given sector, where the threats prevailed based on the SWOT analysis performed. The analysis of the means of communication of the Institute of Archaeological Conservation proves that despite the efforts to educate the public this direction is very underestimated to favor and ensure the full operation of the primary activities of the Institute, which are archaeological research.
