Acquisition of professional competence of professionals

Abstract:

Tato disertační práce se zabývá získáváním profesních dovedností u odborníků se zaměřením na odborníky z oboru lékařství a vysokého školství. Předmět této práce lze v kontextu s úvodní teoretickou specifikací a analýzou odborné literatury vymezit jako provedení empirické analýzy metod profesního vzdělávání lékařů a akademických pracovníků, dále identifikaci nejpřínosnějších metod pro lékaře s praxí do tří let včetně a lékaře s praxí nad dvacet let včetně a zároveň akademických pracovníků s praxí do tří let včetně a akademických pracovníků s praxí nad dvacet let včetně. Dále se práce zabývá vlivem pohlaví na přínosnost jednotlivých vzdělávacích metod a komparací s výzkumy provedenými na podobné téma ve světě. Jako metodického nástroje je v práci využito dotazníkového šetření, zaměřujícího se na analýzu vnímání přínosnosti jednotlivých vzdělávacích metod. Z výsledků našeho šetření vyplynulo, že lékaři s praxí do tří let včetně získávají své profesní dovednosti pomocí práce se zkušenějším kolegou, jejich starší kolegové s praxí nad dvacet let včetně se nejvíce profesně učí na pracovišti. V případě akademických pracovníků s praxí do tří let včetně se jedná o metody spolupráce s odborníkem, který není přímo kolegou na pracovišti, což shodně potvrzují i jejich starší kolegové s praxí nad dvacet let včetně. V případě lékařů má pohlaví vliv pouze na metodu práce se zkušenějším kolegou a konzultaci s kolegy. Stejně je tomu u akademických pracovníků, kde se jedná též o dvě metody mající vliv na vnímání přínosnosti u mužů a žen a to na metodu učení mladších kolegů a práci se zkušenějším kolegou.

Abstract:

This dissertation thesis deals with the acquisition of professional skills of experts with focus on the experts from the fields of medicine and academic education. In the context of the initial theoretical specification and analysis of scientific literature, the subject of the thesis can be defined as empirical analysis of methods for professional training of medical doctors and academics, as well as identification of the most beneficial methods for both medical doctors with practice up to three years and medical doctors with experience over twenty years, and academics with the experience to three years and academics with experience over twenty years. The thesis also examines the influence of gender on the benefits of these particular educational methods and on the comparison with studies conducted on the similar topic in the world. A questionnaire, which was used as a methodological tool, examines the perception of the benefit of each learning method. The results of our survey showed that medical doctors with the experience to three years acquire their professional skills by working with experienced peers, while their elder colleagues with the practice over twenty years prefer learning in the workplace. In the case of academics with the experience of three years it was a method of working with a professional who is not directly a colleague at workplace, which is also confirmed by their older colleagues with experience over twenty years. In the case of medical doctors, gender affects only two methods - the method of working with a more experienced colleague and consultation with colleagues. And so it is for academics, where it is also about two methods influencing the perception of the benefits for men and women; the method of teaching younger colleagues and working with a more experienced colleague.
