Comparing songs of the year of the Angel awards and the Grammy awards from the years 1991-1998

Anotácia:

Tato práce porovnává skladby, které zvítězily v kategorii píseň roku při udělování českých hudebních ocenění Anděl a amerických ocenění Grammy v letech 1991–1998. Přináší stručné informace k jednotlivým oceněným autorům a interpretům. Objektivně porovnává jednotlivé písně dle jejich námětů, forem a harmonie. Sleduje rozlišení rolí autorů a interpretů, velikost významu institucionálního hudebního vzdělání a věk oceněných. V závěru každé kapitoly při-náší také subjektivní autorovy postřehy.

Abstract:

The thesis compares the winning compositions in the category Song of the Year in the Czech Angel Awards and in the American Grammy Awards during the years 1991-1998. It delivers brief information on the individual award-winning authors and performers. It objectively compares the individual songs according to their themes, forms and harmony. It observes the differentiation of the roles of authors and performers, the importance of institutional music education, and age of the winners. At the end of each chapter it also brings subjective author’s views.
